Work Summary
Before starting the drywall work, zip poles and containment plastic sheets of 6mil were used to protect the areas outside the work zone from contamination. After the sheets were placed using the zip poles, the remodel job started. During the remodel, the scaffold staircases were being used to reach the ceilings and high roofs. These staircases have the advantage of portability and can be moved around easily. Special care was taken to avoid the creation of any undue debris. One arch was taken at a time, and special care was taken to convert it into a square reveal proficiently, having smooth edges.

There were a total of six arches that were being transformed and reframed into squares, providing square reveals. Proper care was taken to form smooth edges of the square reveals. Once all the arches were converted into squares, the crew proceeded with covering the walls using level 3 finish and the knockdown texture. Level 3 finishes are found mostly in residential interiors and appearance areas. Such areas are then coated with dense to medium texture finishes done by hand or spray. After the finish gets dry, the final paint is applied to cover the areas giving the finalized look. Sometimes, heavy-grade wall coverings are also used instead of paint on the walls. After finishing the wall arches, the crew started working on the HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) vacuum area. It is a particular type of vacuum that cleans the air and can capture even the small, micron-sized particles. After completing the job, the debris was being removed, and the places were adequately cleaned. Moreover, the plastic sheets and the zip poles were removed, ensuring that no mess was left behind.
